early years

Arne Willems (*1980) started playing the guitar at the age of seven and received first lessons

at the music school of the city of Kierspe by Dirk Lattenkamp.  In 1996 he won a first prize 

in the german youth competition "Jugend musiziert". 

studies

From 2001 to 2005 he studied  with  Prof. Dieter Kreidler & Prof. Alfred Eickholt 

at the Cologne University of Music, located inWuppertal and obtained a music education 

diploma there. 2004-2006 he perfected his playing on the electric guitar with international 

well-known electric guitarist Peter Fischer. From 2006 he studied at theRobert Schumann 

University in  Düsseldorf with Prof. Alexander-Sergei Ramirez and successfully passed the 

examination "Artistic instrumental training" in 2009. ("Diploma in Music"). 

From 2010-2011 he completed his Studies at „Koblenz International Guitar Academy" 

with Prof. Dale Kavanagh and earned  the " Postgraduate Diploma in Performance"

career

Study and concert tours took him to USA, to Brazil and Taiwan. 

He visited numerous master classes with great interpreters of our time, such as e.g.:

David Russell, Aniello Desiderio, Jason Vieaux, Angel & Pepe Romero, Elliot Fisk, 

Fabio Zanon, Konrad Ragossnig, DaleKavanagh, Hubert Käppel and Pavel Steidl. 

Arne is a sought-after chamber musician and appears in different casts.

Instruction

He teaches his students with dedication at the music school and

at master classes in Germany  and abroad.
